As CEO, Alison will be the new public face of the ILCA and represent ILCA member’s interests with all the regulatory bodies and forge links with all parties concerned in the new legal market place. She will drive forward the ILCA and raise the standard of legal finance staff at all levels, with the ultimate goal of having a member of staff in every legal practice qualified in legal accounting.
Alison has been a member of the ILCA since 1989 and has worked in the legal profession for over 25 years. She has wide experience in working in both small and larger legal practices.
Alison said: “I feel very honoured and excited about the new CEO role. I look forward to meeting and greeting our members at the various ILCA functions held throughout the year while continuing to work alongside the SRA, Law Society, HM Revenue & Customs and other legal entities to promote the ILCA”.
Dawn Chapman, ILCA chairman, said: “We are extremely pleased that Alison has agreed to take this new challenge. She has been a long serving member of the ILCA Executive Council as well as a past Chairman, and has worked in legal practice at all levels, making her very aware of the challenges facing our members. All members of the Executive Council are excited about working with Alison and we believe she is the right person to take this huge step in driving the Institute forward”.
