Head of Accounts

The vacancy is for Head of a busy Accounts Team of an ambitious and expanding five Partner Law Firm with offices in Bromley and London although the position is based in Bromley.  The successful applicant will have:

• responsibility for the three other members of the Accounts Department
• be a qualified member of the AAT or equivalent qualification
• excellent experience as a legal cashier with management responsibilities
• a detailed working knowledge of the SAR, the Law Society’s Code of Conduct and Money Laundering Regulations together with a sound understanding of legal practices and procedures across the main disciplines
• experience of one or more law practice managements and payroll software systems
• the ability to produce management and annual accounts to Trial Balance
• and understanding of key aspects of law firm financial management and reporting
• extensive experience of Microsoft Office with particular emphasis on MS Excel
